New kid, Roy Eberhardt, is having a tough time at his new school, he is constantly bullied by Dana Matherson, the school bully. One day, Roy was riding on the bus to school when Dana pushed his face against the bus window. When this happens, he sees a mysterious barefoot boy running in the opposite direction from the bus stop. A few days later, Roy sees him again, and this time he decides to chase after him, but he loses him. Meanwhile, there are frequent vandalism reports on the buldling site of Mother Paula’s, a new pancake house. But why is it being vandalized? Are they hiding something? And who is the mysterious barefoot boy? This book is great for all animal lovers and kept me on my toes.
